Candace Weatherfield joins Gallagher Davis as a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law, as a member of the Saint Louis University Law Journal and a Dean’s Scholar. Candace is a member of the Missouri bar.
During law school, she worked with The Simon Law Firm in St. Louis, where she gained experience in many legal areas, including medical malpractice, personal injury, products liability and wrongful death. Through this work, Candace also gained skills working with medical records and medical experts, as well as learned to understand and process complex medical data in preparation for trial.
Previous to her time with The Simon Law Firm, Candace worked for UniGroup, Inc. assisting clients and attorneys in the pro bono department where she met with clients to understand their legal concerns and researched regulatory issues. This experience built on her previous time with the Missouri State Public Defender as a Legal Intern. While at the State Public Defender’s office, Candace worked with a variety of clients and investigated evidence and data for criminal cases.
Before law school, Candace earned a B.A. in Philosophy at Saint Louis University and an A.A.S. Paralegal studies degree from Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, IL. She also worked in banking, assuring compliance in the Frontenac Bank lending department and monitoring monthly loan logs.
She lives in Waterloo, Illinois with her daughter and husband and is an avid concert goers and love finding new great places for Sunday brunches, hiking and traveling whenever she has the chance.
